🥍 BIG RED ELITE IS JUST GETTING STARTED! 🥍🔥

What a way to kick off the season! The Woodlawn Firefighters-sponsored Big Red Elite Ladies Lacrosse Team hit the field for their first tournament weekend in Galloway, Ohio, and came home with an impressive 3rd-place finish! 🥉

But the finish is only part of the story. These young ladies competed hard, played for one another, and represented Big Red Elite and the Woodlawn Firefighters with pride from the opening whistle to the final horn.

This was the first tournament of a new journey, and there is plenty more to come. The teamwork is building, the confidence is growing, and Big Red Elite is only getting started.

The Woodlawn Lincoln Heights Fire Department, in partnership with the Woodlawn Police Department and the Lincoln Heights Sheriff’s Office, is proud to host our Back to School with Public Safety School Supply Drive to help local students start the school year prepared for success!

We’re collecting new school supplies including:

🖍️ Crayons & colored pencils
📏 Folders & binders
✂️ Scissors
🖇️ Glue sticks
🎒 Backpacks
📚 And other classroom essentials!

Unit 3 went over to the Glendale Village Square for some refreshing lemonade provided by our friends with Payton‘s lemonade stand. Our final Brady Block Party of the summer is happening THIS FRIDAY in Woodlawn/Lincoln Heights at the Woodlawn Community Center Fields starting at 6:30PM!

Join us for a FREE outdoor community event featuring music and art activities, games, giveaways, popcorn, cotton candy and FREE food options from neighborhood vendors and food trucks! The party is capped off by an outdoor concert by the CSO led by Assistant Conductor Alex Amsel, Conductor!

Unit 2 made a search and rescue training dummy today utilizing old O.O.S hose. He was given the name Wilson, soon after crews discovered Wilson doing some training himself.
