NO TOLERANCE FOR FIREWORK VIOLATORS
Due to the continued extreme fire danger in the area, the Eastland County Commissioners Court has adopted an Emergency Disaster Declaration which bans the sale and use of any fireworks inside the county. The sale and use of all fireworks are strictly prohibited. There will be no tolerance of any use of fireworks inside the City of Cisco and Lake Cisco. Violators will be ticketed and subject of fines to be determined by the appropriate courts. A little fun could result in loss of property of others if a spark catches fire. It could also be very expensive for the violator. All public firework shows are cancelled.

Reminder: Cisco Police Department is not currently seeking donations for any reason. Solicitations received in the mail or on the internet are not beneficial to local police. If the solicitation does not reflect a Cisco Police Insignia or the Chief's signature then it is NOT from us. Thanks,
Chief Kenneth Preston

As you travel this summer be mindful of potential credit card skimmers at gas pumps. If possible use the tap type payment. These types of payments give you less exposure to fraud. Other ways to avoid being exposed are to inspect the credit card slots and make sure they are tight fitting, pre pay in the store or kiosk and use pumps that are monitored. Safe travels!

We are proud to welcome Officer Vegas Hastings to our department. Hastings is a graduate of Cisco High School where he was a stand out athlete. After serving in the United States Marines he graduated from Weatherford College Law Enforcement Academy. He has numerous friends and family in Cisco and will be a great addition to CPD. He is shown here taking his oath given by Municipal Court Judge Richard Butler and being welcomed by Chief Preston. Welcome Home Vegas !!
