🇺🇸 In honor of 9/11 - HHAH Services wants to extend its heartfelt appreciation and respect to the First-Responders that gave their lives to protect and serve Americans’ with valor on that dreadful day in our nation’s history. 🇺🇸

In homage to the heroic sacrifice on 9/11, we will be giving 10 FREE American Heart Association BLS Certifications on a FCFS basis to our fine men and women First-Responders of Citrus County.

Tonight, we had the privilege of teaching 8 individuals live-saving skills. In return, they demonstrated competency in both their hands-on testing & exam, followed by earned their BLS certification✅🫀

Wonderful classes, like tonight- remind us why we love doing what we do. To teach people value information brings us such joy. We love learning our students; what they do for work, those who are going to school for what, and about their families.

‼️Things to remember when doing a blood draw‼️

✅Pop the tourniquet BEFORE removing the needle
✅Always wear gloves when handling bodily fluids (gloves not pictured here- no draw was actually being conducted)
✅Always introduce yourself
✅TWO patient identifiers (first & last name + DOB)
✅Go by “feel” not by “sight”- there are plenty of situations where you could have trouble seeing a vein, physically palpating is where it matters most (LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING)
