The Regional Water Authority (RWA) is a joint powers authority representing two dozen water providers and affiliates in the greater Sacramento area. Its primary mission is to help its members protect and enhance the reliability, availability, affordability and quality of water resources. Our Social Media Policy

By participating in this RWA social media site, you must adhere to our social media po

licy and posting guidelines provided in that policy. You are taking personal and full responsibility for your username, your posts, and any information provided. Your posts will be retained and may be subject to disclosure under the California Public Records Act or in discovery in pending litigation involving RWA or its members. "Posts" refer to information, comments, articles, pictures, videos or any other form of communication that you post on a RWA social media site. Articles, posts and comments posted to any RWA social media site containing any of the following forms of content are prohibited and, if posted, shall be removed as soon as possible:

Profane language or content;

Content that promotes, fosters or perpetuates discrimination of any protected class under Government Code section 12940 or other applicable laws;

Sexual content or links to sexual content;

Solicitations of commerce, advertisements or spam;

Promotion or endorsement of political issues, groups or individuals;

Conduct or encouragement of illegal activity;

Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems;

Content intended to defame any person, group or organization;

Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party, such as trademark or copyright infringement;

Violent or threatening content; or

Disclosure of confidential, private or proprietary information. Repeat violators of these guidelines will be subject to being banned from all future posts. The Public Affairs Program Manager or designee will maintain a record of all public postings that are removed from any RWA social media site, including user name, posting date, content of the posting, reason(s) for removal under the standards set forth in this part, and any further communications with a public poster. RWA does not endorse or take responsibility for content posted by third parties. RWA disclaims any and all responsibility and liability for any materials that RWA deems inappropriate for posting, but which cannot be removed in a timely manner. The appearance of external links on a RWA social media site does not constitute an official endorsement of the linked-to site or its content by RWA.
