Del Oro's mission is to improve the well-being of family caregivers and provide support throughout the care giving process. One of our mottos is “caring for families who care.”

Eligibility - Family members living within the 13-county service area (Alpine, Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, & Yuba) providing care for a person whose

brain impairment occurred during adulthood (age 18 and older) and who is not eligible for assistance from other publicly supported programs or similar benefits. Additionally family members in Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter, Yolo, Yuba Counties caring for a frail elderly (60 years old or older) person assisting them with their daily physical and emotional care.

Caregiving can bring out different perspectives, expectations, and emotions within a family. And when those differences leave you feeling isolated, it can be especially difficult to know where to turn.
