The ALS Association Greater Sacramento Chapter annually serves hundreds of people living with ALS, their families, and caregivers in 24 Northern California counties through a durable medical equipment loan program, support groups, resource referrals, respite care assistance, and in-home visits. The Chapter also provides staffing and support to two ALS Association Certified Treatment Centers of Exc

ellence, which provide the multidisciplinary care that research shows extends life expectancy and enhances the quality of life for people with ALS. The Chapter funds research dedicated to finding effective treatments and a cure and stands with the ALS Association and its network of Chapters to advocate for public policy initiatives that serve the needs of those with ALS. The Chapter’s mission is to lead the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with Lou Gehrig’s Disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
