The Citrus Heights Water District is an Irrigation District, founded in 1920, operating under the State of California Water Code. CHWD provides drinking water to an estimated service area population of 67,000 customers via approximately 20,000 water service connections in Sacramento and Placer Counties, including about 60% of the area within the boundaries of the City of Citrus Heights. The Distri
ct operates under a governing body of three elected members on a Board of Directors with an appointed General Manager. Welcome to the official page of the Citrus Heights Water District (CHWD). The purpose of this page is to enable CHWD to post matters of public interest concerning CHWD programs, activities, news, photos and videos, and to encourage members of the public to engage with those posts.
