We are pleased to announce an exciting new addition at the Claflin Rec building! A new indoor space has been designed to encourage young minds to develop and flourish with activities specifically designed for elementary school age children and younger. The Claflin Discovery Center will be open to all families with young children and at no cost. Please consider donating to this exciting new additio

n as all proceeds will go towards renovation supplies, sensory toys, books, and other educational materials. Please feel free to contact us at [email protected] with any questions or comments. Donations in the form of cash or check (checks payable to Claflin Rec with “Claflin Discovery Center” in the memo) can be dropped off at the Rec office during office hours, or in the locked drop box located in the hallway. We are so happy to see the littlest members of our community getting lots of use out of the Discovery Center. Please be mindful of the rules in place and sign in on every visit. Our volunteers spend many hours away from their families to keep the space nice for all to enjoy, and would like to keep it that way for years to come. Remember to turn the AC on when you are there. It is the perfect spot to cool off and play this summer!

Join us from 12-4 pm to take in the kite show, fly your own kite, challenge yourself on the obstacle course, indulge in Samplecious Snow Cones, and enjoy community fellowship! We are kicking off summer with an afternoon of fun! Join us for our First Outdoor Kids Obstacle Course! The course will be along side the First Annual Let’s Go Fly A Kite In Claflin Event! The obstacle course is designed for ages 3-12. All participants will receive a medal, snack, and bottle of water. Course will be located on the Central Plains Practice Field.

-$5 per participant
-Please register by May 9th to guarantee a medal
