February 1 and 2, 2016 was the winter meeting of the Economic Development Association of Alabama, held in Hoover, AL. It was a great meeting. Subjects at the meeting included:
"Permitting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers",
"Air Quality Standard and Potential Implications for Industry",
"Providing Data Center Needs",
"Manufacturing Trends and Workforce Needs",
"Alabama Regional Councils",
and
"Trends in Site Selections in 2016".
Networking is always a great product of the meeting.

Also pictured is Fred Crawford with Jim Searcy of the EDAA and our keynote speaker for the conference, Liz Huntley. Liz, a member of the Chilton County IDB, talked about her book "More Than a Bird". Most attendees reported it was the best keynote ever given at EDAA.
Thank you Liz for your service on the Industrial Development Board and for your inspirational talk and testimony. This is why Chilton County is on the move.
