Last night, Clare-Gladwin CTE hosted their bi-annual Advisory Committee meeting at the Magnus Center. The individual committees meet and discuss updates and upcoming events in their programs. A very special thanks to the Culinary Arts program for catering the dinner for the meeting. All food was prepared by students with the help of a few adults. We are very appreciative of all the members and CTE staff who attended and look forward to the next meeting!

In preparation for their classroom placements, CTE Education Occupations students are brainstorming a list of "Barriers to Learning." These topics are items that students may be dealing with that might affect their ability to focus and learn in school. Our first year students will choose one of these barriers to research and prepare a project on their topic to present in class next week.

Yesterday our CTE Culinary Arts and Digital Media programs presented their "Dream Restaurant" project. They have been creating a presentation and digital elements for the past 2 weeks. Overall it went amazing! Keep up the hard work!

Today our CTE Automotive Technology students were finishing up an oil change. Along with some students are working to identify what's causing trouble within the Public Safety training car.

This week, CTE Health Occupations students have been learning how to correctly donn and doff personal protective equipment. They've also been learning about vital signs and how to take temperature, blood pressure, and pulse correctly.

students from the CTE Auto and Diesel programs took a trip to Ferris State for Diesel Days. Students listened to lectures, had a chance to mingle and meet prospective employers, and experience campus life including lunch at Ferris State's Rock.

Over the last couple of weeks, Education Occupations CTE students have been creating Toys that Teach. Students created either a game or book for a specific age group based on their knowledge of child development and presented them to our class. Students got to try out all of the games in class!

Tuesday night, Clare held its annual Family Fun Night. CTE had a booth setup with flyers for all 11 programs. Digital Media's instructor, a few students, and Public Safety's instructor were there to showcase their respective programs.
