consciousness during the Great Depression. One soup kitchen in Chicago was even sponsored by American mobster Al Capone in an effort to clean up his image. Inventor Benjamin Thompson, contemporary to the Founding Fathers of the United States, is said to have invented the soup kitchen.

We are open seven days a week.

Breakfast M-F 9am to 10am

Lunch M-F 12pm TO 1pm

Dinner everyday 4pm to 5pm

We also offer fresh fruits, veggies , breads and many other items daily!

Stop in Monday through Friday 9am to 1pm and take what you need!

We also offer monthly food boxes and meat bags.

Stop in M-F 9am to 1pm and ask how to get the monthly food boxes!

We are currently seeking community members who would like to volunteer their time with the Summer Lunch Program. If you are interested in helping, please reach out to me Angela Bark ASAP at [email protected].

We are also accepting donations of individually packaged lunch items, including:

• Mini bags of chips, pretzels or popcorn
• Juice boxes
• Mini water bottles
• Fruit bars
• Granola bars
• Fruit cups
• Other kid-friendly snack items

Your support helps ensure children in our community have access to meals throughout the summer months. Thank you for helping make a difference!

Donations can be dropped off at the Claremont Soup Kitchen M-F from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
