The NH Food Bank's regularly scheduled drive-thru mobile food pantry is headed to Claremont on Wednesday, September 2. Households will receive an assortment of produce and shelf-stable items. We welcome anyone in need of food assistance to please join us.

Last year Baby Steps was the second biggest supporter in Sullivan County in the fight for Food Insecurity with over 40,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables and 8000 pounds of dried canned goods that were handed out locally here In Sullivan County
Baby Steps is in the fight to support food insecurity locally through our food pantry that is open Tuesday 9 to 3 Wednesday 9 to 2 and Friday 9 to 3 by providing the local community with fresh homegrown, local produce , fruits and vegetables, supported by Willing Hands of Vermont.

🚨 1 in 6 New Hampshire children is experiencing food insecurity.

A new Feeding America Map the Meal Gap report reveals a troubling increase in hunger across our state. Child food insecurity has risen 6% in just one year, from 36,160 children to 38,430.

Overall, 1 in 9 Granite Staters now face food insecurity—up from 10.7% to 11.2%.

Seven of New Hampshire’s 10 counties saw measurable increases in food insecurity, with children among those most impacted.

These numbers represent real children, families and neighbors who are struggling to put enough food on the table.

At the New Hampshire Food Bank, we’re responding by expanding fresh food rescue, increasing deliveries to remote communities, providing more fresh produce and protein through Mobile Food Pantries, and strengthening the network of more than 400 partner agencies working across our state.

But we cannot do this alone. Together, we can make sure every child in New Hampshire has access to the nutritious food they need to learn, grow and thrive.

I would like to thank Willing Hands,Vt the Claremont Soup Kitchen and all the volunteers who came out and supported our July 4th community meal at Trinity Church. Even though Mother Nature had a different plan yesterday, it was still a day full of love, laughter, singing and making new friends over food.

Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to our community.

At Baby Steps Family Assistance we seek to fulfill the basic needs of the unhoused, low income and vulnerable in our community.

Ten fundamental items we take as donations are:
clean undergarments, weather-appropriate clothing, personal hygiene supplies, first aid materials, non-perishable food, water storage, identification documents, bedding, sturdy bags for belongings, and connection to supportive community resources.

We offer these things free to all who come in search of help, as well as redistribute some towards places of Healing and Rehabilitation in Sullivan County.

On this Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to freedom will never be forgotten.

As we gather with family and friends today, may we also take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day and the tremendous cost of the liberties we enjoy. We owe a debt of gratitude to those who gave their lives defending our country and to the families who carry their legacy forward.

May God bless the memory of our fallen heroes, their loved ones, and the United States of America. 🇺🇸
