The Claremont Firefighter’s Association Scholarship Fund:

The Claremont Firefighter’s Association Scholarship Fund was established in the memory of Retired Captain Thomas Buinicky’s parents. The members of the Association take great pride in awarding this annual scholarship to deserving students in the Claremont area. Two scholarships are commonly given each year, one to an active Association mem

ber or their family and one to a graduating area senior. The proceeds from the tournament will enable the Association to grow its endowment fund and provide vital scholarships to deserving students.

This evening, we extend our deepest condolences to the Maine fire service following the tragic loss of a firefighter in the line of duty at today’s incident in Searsmont.

Our thoughts remain with all firefighters, EMS personnel, families, friends, and community members impacted by this tragedy, as well as the medical teams caring for those who were injured.

The fire service is one family, and tonight we stand beside our brothers and sisters in Maine.
