One of the funniest things about running for political office is how childish so much of it is. The same attempts at bullying you see in third grade end up coming back with grown men. "That guy is acting too smart, I don't like him". "Billy likes pink instead of blue, let's beat him up". "Mark's family is poor. His Dad must be a deadbeat!". One thing I've always hated is a bully.

I'm not going to change who I am or what I believe to trick voters into voting for me. I am ready to defend my beliefs. But thankfully one of my strongest beliefs is owning up to mistakes and changing when evidence suggests I've been wrong. The sort of never surrender, never compromise, extremists politics that has broken Sullivan County and Claremont in particular can't be allowed to continue. Vote for people who care more about if things work than whose party suggested them.

Extremism and corruption are sides of the same coin. They are an attempt to make politics broken to benefit one side instead of working best for the citizens. It doesn't matter if the corruption comes from the board room or the gun shop. It has to stop.

Hey all, you know I'm the kind of person who would only ask other people to do things if I myself am willing to do them. I'm also the kind of person who tries to make time to help if I'm asked. I've recently been asked by people across the county and state to run to represent House District 6 here in NH. I'm happy to say I plan on running. The problems Claremont faces are for the most part not caused by anything the people of Claremont have done over the years. The problems often are those made in the State House, and come from years of successful efforts to take the burden for social services off of the corporations and wealthy who reap the vast majority of the benefits from our economy and put them onto the shoulders of the middle and working classes. Nowhere is the harm that causes more obvious than here in Claremont. To benefit the rich and powerful of NH and corporations primarily located out of New England we've continued to lower their taxes while increasing yours here in Sullivan County. This isn't right, and I hope to fight to try and fix these injustice. The US economy has blossomed while places like Claremont have drowned. This isn't a mistake, and it isn't your fault. It is the result of a prolonged effort to make the rich even richer.

I hope we can find solutions together to ensure we keep people ahead of corporate profits, and fight for our rights as citizens. The governments job is to protect you as citizens from efforts to strip you of your rights and harm you. And in this generation the single biggest threat to our rights and livelihoods are corporations who have become too big and too powerful. We need to get back to a government for the people, that protects us from the excesses of corporate greed and overreach. And to do that, we need representatives who will fight for the good of the people in Sullivan County, instead of the already powerful. I hope I can win your vote and be of service to the people of this county, state, and country.

Claremont I am humbled and truly honored to have won so many of your votes. I hope I can live up to the faith you've put in me, and I promise to work hard to do the best for all citizens of the city. I'm looking forward to working with this great group of councillors. My email and Facebook will always be open for concerns and questions, and I sincerely hope I can be of service to each and every one of you. Congratulations to all who won and all who took part in this process. I truly believe we are at our best when we are working together.

Neighbors I wanted to put out this folder that I'm going to fill with documents and guides on how to run for Municipal Office here in Claremont. I'd love if those involved in the elections process/those who have been or are currently on city council would offer to help add details or other information here so that the public knows how they can get involved in local politics. Even just links to good resources like sign making, companies in town who people have used to make items, etc could be really helpful. I'm hoping that this will be a way for those community members who feel that they haven't been able to get involved before, who want to run but don't feel like they have the knowledge to be able to campaign effectively, or those who feel like it is too difficult to run can have a framework for doing so in the future. Getting more of us involved is the key to making our system work better, and so whatever I can do to help please also feel free to let me know. I hope I see all of you out there voting this Tuesday! Good luck to everyone running.
