Our 8th grade students recently brought literature to life with a visit to the famous Outsiders House after finishing The Outsiders!

Seeing the real-life home that inspired the story made the experience even more meaningful—students were amazed at how closely it matched the book. It was an unforgettable way to connect with the characters and setting they had just read about.

Coding + Creativity in Action! 🤖

Students in Mrs. Higgins recently built and coded their own robots and then put them to the test with a fun game of robot freeze tag!

This hands-on activity challenged students to think like engineers and programmers while learning how coding controls movement and behavior. Watching their creations come to life made the lesson even more exciting!

Mr. Nadal's science classes have been learning about light waves in a hands-on way! Using lasers and flashlights, students explored the differences between reflection, refraction, absorption, and transmission of light.

Of course, science sometimes requires a few sacrifices… and in this case, it was a few very brave gummy bears!

Through fun experiments and a little creativity, students were able to see these concepts come to life right before their eyes. Learning is always better when it’s interactive!

A Special Year at Our School – 9 Sets of Twins!👯‍♂️

Did you know that this year we have NINE sets of twins attending our school? How amazing is that!

Twins are already something special — and having NINE sets in one school year is incredibly rare! Statistically, twin births occur in about 3 out of every 100 births, which makes having this many sets learning and growing together under one roof something truly unique.

We love seeing the special bonds they share, while also watching each child shine as an individual in their own way.

Our school is definitely double the fun this year!

WRJH Soccer Has Officially Kicked Off!⚽

This marks the very first year of soccer at WRJH — and what a way to start!

For our first game ever, our girls ROCKED the field with a 5–0 victory!! We couldn’t be more proud of their teamwork, determination, and school spirit.

This season, we’ve proudly joined forces with Justus-Tiawah Public Schools, partnering with their school to create one combined team. Together, we’re building something special!

This year, we’ll compete as the Wildcats for Justus 🐾 — and next year, we’ll switch things up and proudly play as the Zebras! 🦓

Exploring Sound Waves in Science! 🎶🔊

Students in Mrs. Simmonds’ class participated in interactive Sound Wave Stations to investigate how sound travels and behaves. Through hands-on activities, they explored key concepts including refraction, reflection, transmission, and absorption of sound waves.

These engaging stations allowed students to observe real-world examples, collaborate with classmates, and deepen their understanding of how sound moves through different materials and environments.
