Yo ho, this is an official “Trampoline Watch” for our community! Make sure to batten down the hatches this evening and secure all the garage sale b***y over in The Vintage at Verdigris. It’s shapin’ up for a squall that is sure to shiver your timbers! Keep your good eye on the skies and stay up to date on the weather today from a trusted weather source. The weather this evening might just be rated “RRRRrrrrrrrrr”! 🏴☠️
Severe storms are possible later today across parts of Oklahoma, especially this afternoon into tonight.
The Storm Prediction Center says the main concern will be damaging winds, with some gusts possibly approaching 90 mph in the strongest storms. Large hail and a brief tornado or two also cannot be ruled out, mainly across northern Oklahoma. Storms may begin more isolated, then grow into a larger line or cluster as they move east.
Bottom line: Be ready for rapidly changing weather later today, especially if you live across northern or northeastern Oklahoma. Make sure you have a way to get warnings and stay weather aware through the evening.
