Congratulations to Noah Wickham for passing the EXTREMELY difficult national exam for Marriage and Family Therapy. Most people don't realize how much work goes in to becoming a licensed therapist.

After obtaining a Masters degree (which requires 300 hours of practicum or internship), you have to pass both a national exam and a state exam.

THEN you have to be under direct supervision by a state-approved licensed therapist for three years or 3,000 hours of full-time experience, including 350 hours of direct client contact.

Becoming a licensed therapist is a more intensive and difficult process than it takes to become a physical therapist, optometrist, pharmacist or attorney. And unfortunately, the pay is a lot less. It takes truly amazing people to put the time and effort it takes to complete this process in order to help others.

I'm so proud of the quality of counselors/therapists at Rogers County Youth Services! Even though all of our services are free, the services provided are amazing!

Next week, we move in to our new home! The cost of renovations have been greater than our donations. We still have needs (and some wants). Please look over our Amazon Wish List and see if there may be some items you can help us with. Your help is greatly appreciated.

We look forward to hosting an open house in the near future!

What lengths would YOU go to for a great cause?
Your generosity has exceeded our expectations, and to hold up our end of the bargain, we ate the stinky fish! Watch this video to see Herb McSpadden and collegues choke down the STINKIEST fish on the planet!

That's not all. The Rogers County Sheriff's Office and Claremore High School Athletics departmemt are going head to head.. On January 21st, one of these organizations will be doing the stinky fish challenge. The organization with the most donations by January 19th will have to eat the stinky fish!!

The fate of Rogers County Sheriff's Office and Claremore High School are in your hands. Go to www.redefinercys.org/donate/ and leave your vote in the comment. Share this with your friends and help us finish the new facility for the youth in our county!

Who will eat stinky fish? Claremore High School Principals or Rogers County Sheriff and deputies? You can help decide. We've been given a very generous $2,500 match for any donations given to the principals. Help RCYS and the principals by giving before January 19th at midnight and your contributions pledged for the principals will be matched (up to $2,500)!

Designate your contributions to go to principals or sheriffs and whoever has the most by midnight on the 19th does not have to eat the stinky fish.

Be watching for details on where the losers will be eating their fish on Monday, the 20th.

You can donate by credit card on our website: www.redefinercys.org or by check at 2680 N. Hwy 88, Claremore, OK

Thanks for assisting RCYS complete the renovations of our new building at 1810 and 1820 N. Sioux in Claremore!
