6AM Roadwork alert: Monday 8/17/26

Please be advised that Clarence Highway Department crews will be milling on Maple Street in CC Village and Pineledge Subdivision starting this AM. Paving to follow next week. Please be aware of heavier than normal truck traffic, flaggers and road closed signs.

Also: please be advised the Greiner Road striping should be happening as well, getting reports that it could be as soon as today. You may want to use alternate routes in your travelsโ€ฆStriping should also happen on the other County Roads that were resurfaced in Town.

Roll Rd. (CR-277) from Kippen Dr. to Transit Rd. will be restricted to a single lane beginning today, Friday, July 17, through Tuesday, July 21, or when the utility work is completed. Restrictions will be in place between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The Town of Clarence is aware of a scam targeting applicants who have requested an action of the Town. The fraudulent email is being sent from an outside entity, requesting an email response for wire money transfer instructions.

Governor Kathy Hochul announced on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, $572,643 has been allocated to construct an all-inclusive playground at Town Place Park in partnership with the Clarence Lions Club, creating a universally accessible play space that serves children of all abilities, enhancing recreational equity and community inclusion.

This is part of the Municipal Parks and Recreation Grant Program to fund the development and improvement of municipal parks and recreation sites statewide for the public to enjoy.

"These grants will help communities with a range of projects to encourage New Yorkers to โ€˜Get Offline, Get Outsideโ€™ and enjoy healthy, active recreation,โ€ Governor Hochul said. "This new round of funding from the Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act continues New York Stateโ€™s commitment to helping expand access to safe and welcoming parks and recreational facilities all across the state."

The signal at Harris Hill and Greiner is on flash all the way around. Most likely due to the weather and power loss/surges. Signal repair has been notified.

Please treat the signal as a four way stop until it is repaired.
