From Explorer to Firefighter / EMT, we’re proud to celebrate an incredible journey for one of our own! 🚒

Jack Costello started with the Clarendon Hills Fire Department during his high school years as an Explorer, where he began learning what it means to serve others and be part of the fire service.

Since then, Jack has completed his Basic Operations Firefighter certification and, most recently, earned his National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians EMT certification , a tremendous accomplishment and an important step toward his goals in the fire service.

We couldn’t be more proud of Jack and the dedication, commitment, and work ethic he has shown along the way. And he’s doing all of this while entering his second year at the University of Dayton!

Congratulations, Jack! We’re proud to have been part of your journey, and we can’t wait to see where it takes you next. Keep pushing forward and making a difference! 👏🚒

This week the Clarendon Hills Fire Department day crew had the opportunity to train with the lifeguards at Hinsdale Golf Club. We worked together on water rescue scenarios and how to activate their emergency action plan, proper CPR techniques and how to hand off a patient when our team arrives.

Thank you Hinsdale Golf Club for the opportunity to come out and work together!
