This handsome fella lost his humans. He asked Officer Biggs for help while he was assisting with another lost dog! No collar or tag to identify him. He was in the 800 block of 3rd Ave. NE. Please call 515-532-2515 to make arrangements for him to go home.

A reminder that we have no facilities to house strays. Owners are responsible for keeping their pets safe at home. ID tags are inexpensive and can be purchased at a variety of stores or online.

We are once again receiving many complaints regarding e-scooter riders riding all over the streets in an unsafe fashion. PLEASE ride safely - obey all stop signs, crosswalks, and stoplights. If you are riding in the street, PLEASE stay on the right side of the road, not swerving around in the center. Most of these complaints are coming from vehicle drivers who have had someone swerve or ride out in front of them or have witnessed a total disregard for stop signs and traffic signals.

Parents, please remind your riders of the basic safety rules - it's no different than riding a bicycle or a normal scooter. Please do not make their safety the sole responsibility of a stranger dodging them in traffic.

We don't want anyone getting hurt, but at this rate it just might happen. PLEASE BE SAFE!!

Cell phone just brought into the PD. Found in middle of Central Ave. W between Brothers and Yesway. It's been run over but still works! If it's yours you'll need to provide code to unlock. The PD office is open until 4pm today.

Teléfono celular recién entregado al Departamento de Policía. Fue encontrado en medio de Central Ave. W, entre Brothers y Yesway. ¡Ha sido atropellado, pero todavía funciona! 3. Date limitations. A person shall not use or explode first class consumer fireworks on days other than:
A. The Friday before July 4 through the Sunday following July 4
