Wright County is pleased to announce the addition of three new trees (diverse species) to the courthouse grounds, a project spearheaded by Buildings and Grounds Director Andy Yackle in collaboration with Wright County Economic Development. This beautification initiative was made possible by a grant from 'Trees Please'. Yackle is pictured here with one of the newly planted trees, a Black Gum, which will provide vibrant, multi-colored foliage each fall.

Big news for Wright County! We are thrilled to announce a brand-new partnership between MIDAS and Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion that is set to make your travel easier and more affordable than ever.
Starting June 1, 2026, patients can take advantage of a new, sponsored transportation option. Through the combined efforts of MIDAS and Wright County Economic Development, you now have the option to ride the RTA transit vehicle to and from your appointments at a significantly reduced rate.
MIDAS Executive Director Stacy Lentsch and WCED Director Aaron Budweg (pictured above) recently released the news, ensuring that getting to your healthcare provider is stress-free, reliable, and budget-friendly.

Thank you Wright County for widening the shoulders from the corner to the lake. Which will be a little safer than riding on the traveled portions of the highway. We are working on a dedicated bike path from Clarion to the lake which would be much safer. With your help we are going to get this done.
