Wright County Secondary Roads has contractors in beginning this afternoon updating the painted pavement markings on our paved routes North of Highway 3. This should take 2-3 days to complete. This is a mobile operation and will have 2 to 3 vehicles at this mobile operation with safety lights flashing. Please be alert when meeting or passing this operation. Have a safe weekend.

Road Construction Update - Our contractor will have a delayed start this morning due to damp road conditions. They anticipate to start around 8:30 - 9 am. Once they begin, they have about a half mile left of the westbound lane to make it to HWY 69. Once they get to HWY 69, they will turn around and begin paving west in the eastbound lane. This area will be under flagger and pilot car control. Thank you for your patience during our project.

Road Construction Update - Our contractor will continue paving on C25 heading east to HWY 69. They will paving runouts on O'Brien, Page, 175th, Quincy and Reed Aves. These runouts will need time to cool once paved and rolled. This area will be under flagger and pilot car control.

Road Construction - Our contractor will be paving on the west side of Lake Cornilea this morning from Nelson Ave east around the curve and then north to C25. Once this section is complete, they plan to start paving on C25 from Madison Ave east. These areas will be under flagger and pilot car control. 0 – 6 Months $28.30
6 – 12 Months $28.55
After 12 Months $28.80

Benefits shall be as provided to employees of the Wright County Secondary Roads per the Wright County Employee Handbook

Location: Eagle Grove Shed or Clarion Shed or work where assigned

Normal Workday: 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M., Monday through Friday, hours may vary. Subject to call 24 hours a day during emergency conditions.
Summer work hours are 6:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Thursday.

2026 HMA Paving Project - Wright County will have a contractor starting a HMA paving with milling project on Friday, May 8th, 2026. This project is on C25 from Madison Ave, east to highway 69, 185th & Nelson east to O'Brien then north to C25 and on 180th from Page Ave east to C25. Residential roads around Lake Cornelia will also be completed. Our contractor plans to mill the residential roads on May 8th and finish them Monday 11th then move to the county blacktops on Tuesday, May 12th. This project will be under pilot car and flagger control. This project is estimated to take 3 to 4 weeks, weather dependent. Attached is a link with a map indicating the locations of work. Local bridge 157a just South of the Belmond city limits on Taylor Avenue is now open to traffic. There are a few odds and ends to finish up that will not hinder traffic. Thanks for your patience during this project.

All personnel is out today at 5:00am. As long as we can see we will be hitting hard surface routes first thing with both trucks and graders.
When we can we will get graders onto granular routes.
We will have our hands full today, and it will be an all day operation if not longer to cover all routes.

**MARCH 15th, 2026**

Good morning.

Trucks will be out this morning on hard surface routes. Some routes have become slick and are accumulating some ice/slush mix.
Precipitation should transition to all snow in the next few hours. We will do what we can today as conditions allow.
