Today, we remember nearly 3,000 Americans who were killed and honor the brave heroes who saved lives on 9/11, as well as those who answered the call to defend our nation against terrorism in the years that followed.

Keep an eye on the weather. There has been a tornado watch issued for our area. Just means conditions are right for possible tornadic activity. Stay weather aware!

1230pm Update: Severe weather risks have increased at the mid-day update by the Storm Prediction Center.

A "level 4" risk has spread through the Tri-State area for the potential of significant severe weather late this evening and into the overnight hours. There still remains some uncertainty on how quickly storms become organized and if they can build from a couple stronger storm clusters into a larger cluster of storms.

Be prepared to monitor and take action as needed.

DERECHO AND THREAT TODAY AND TONIGHT DAKOTAS AND MINNESOTA

We are chasing the threat of a strong, long-lived wind bag event or derecho this afternoon and overnight, including the potential for with early supercells or any renegades that can develop ahead of the bow. 100+ mph wind gusts will be possible within the wind bag. Tornadoes will also likely be embedded in the line from the apex of the bow and north. Full-blown mode has been activated!
