SEVERE STORM ALERT βοΈ
Clark Township News
Posted on July 18, 2026
Residents should prepare for the potential of severe weather today. Current forecasts indicate periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, with the possibility of damaging wind gusts, localized flooding, and even an isolated tornado. Conditions can change quickly, so please stay weather aware throughout the day.
PSE&G has activated its storm response plan and has pre-positioned additional line crews, tree crews, and support personnel across New Jersey in anticipation of the storm. The utility has advised that restoration efforts will begin as soon as conditions are safe for crews to operate and will prioritize critical infrastructure and the largest outages first.
The Township has been in communication with both Union County and the State to coordinate preparations and ensure resources are available should they be needed. Our Police, Fire, OEM, EMS, and Public Works personnel will continue to monitor conditions and respond as necessary.
If you experience a power outage, please report it directly to PSE&G at:
