NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2026

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for another successful National Night Out Event. Great weather and a great turnout here at Police Headquarters. Families enjoyed music, snacks, free giveaways, a bouncy house, and plenty of emergency vehicles and equipment for the kids to see and explore.

It was a great night spent connecting with our community. We appreciate everyone who came out and helped make the event a success!

Special thanks to Detectives Brian Soos and Mark Detore and all the members of the Clark Police Department who assisted in making this event successful.

SEVERE STORM ALERT β›ˆοΈ

Clark Township News
Posted on July 18, 2026

Residents should prepare for the potential of severe weather today. Current forecasts indicate periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, with the possibility of damaging wind gusts, localized flooding, and even an isolated tornado. Conditions can change quickly, so please stay weather aware throughout the day.

PSE&G has activated its storm response plan and has pre-positioned additional line crews, tree crews, and support personnel across New Jersey in anticipation of the storm. The utility has advised that restoration efforts will begin as soon as conditions are safe for crews to operate and will prioritize critical infrastructure and the largest outages first.

The Township has been in communication with both Union County and the State to coordinate preparations and ensure resources are available should they be needed. Our Police, Fire, OEM, EMS, and Public Works personnel will continue to monitor conditions and respond as necessary.

If you experience a power outage, please report it directly to PSE&G at:

PSE&G Outage Center

Report a Power Outage

Text OUT to 4PSEG (47734), report it online, through our app or call 1-800-436-PSEG (7734)

Please avoid downed power lines, secure any loose outdoor furniture or decorations, and limit travel during periods of severe weather unless necessary. We will continue to provide updates as conditions warrant.
