It is with the heaviest of hearts that we are informing you of the passing of Retired Clark Special Police Officer, Alexander “Al” Miller. SLEO II Alexander “Al” Miller passed away on June 20, 2026.

SLEO II Miller joined the Clark Police Department in 1981, serving until the date of his retirement in 2005.

Please keep SLEO II Miller and his family in your thoughts and prayers. We thank you for your years of service to the Township of Clark.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation on Friday, June 26 from 6 – 8 pm at Walter Johnson Funeral Home, Clark. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we just found out about the passing of Retired Clark Special Police Officer, Thomas Ringwood. SLEO I Thomas Ringwood passed away on February 14, 2026.

SLEO I Ringwood joined the Clark Police Department in 1991, serving until the date of his retirement in 2020.

The Clark Township Police Department proudly participated in the 43rd Annual New Jersey Law Enforcement Torch Run, joining law enforcement officers from across the state in support of Special Olympics New Jersey.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest public awareness and fundraising event for Special Olympics, with officers carrying the “Flame of Hope” through communities across New Jersey to help raise funds and promote inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

We are honored to support the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey and be part of a tradition that celebrates courage, determination, and the power of community.
