The Clarkdale Police Department extends our deepest condolences to the Arizona Department of Public Safety and to the families, friends, and fellow troopers mourning the tragic loss of two troopers who gave their lives while assisting local agencies near Flagstaff during an active shooter incident on Feb. 4, 2026

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire AZ DPS family during this incredibly difficult time. We honor their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to service.

Thank you for your service. Rest in Peace to the crew of Ranger 56. You will always be remembered and never forgotten.

SCAM ALERT

The Clarkdale Police Department has received several reports of scammers impersonating our officers and using department information when they request money from victims.

Please be aware that the Clarkdale Police Department will never call and ask for money or payment over the phone.

Common tactics used by these scammers include:
• Claiming you owe fines, fees, or missed court payments.
• Threatening arrest or legal action if payment is not made immediately.
• Requesting payment through gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency, or payment apps.
• Using phone numbers linked to a specific area or officer’s names to appear legitimate.

If you receive a call like this:
• Hang up immediately.
• Do not provide personal or financial information.
• Report the call to the Clarkdale Police Department.

Our office will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 25. Dog licenses and other lobby services will not be offered on those days.

To report a crime or speak with a police officer, please call our 24-hour dispatch at 928-634-2921. Emergencies call 9-1-1.

Dog Licenses are now available at the Clarkdale Police Department!

2026 dog licenses can be purchased at the PD during regular lobby hours. Please bring proof of current rabies vaccination and $5 cash/check per dog ($10 per unspayed/non-neutered dog).

You can also email us at [email protected] to request a license. We'll contact you to arrange pick-up and payment.

PD lobby hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to noon.

REMEMBER: Annual dog licenses are required in Clarkdale per Town Code.
