Have you ever helped out an individual or stranger that you didn't know? Have you ever unknowingly bettered or enriched someone's life, without even knowing that you did? Do you have the desire and ability to serve your community, but just not sure where?

At Sharing and Caring Cornelia, we do this every day we are open and we are looking for volunteers to experience the same enjoyment and gratification.

As a provider of assistance in Habersham County with free food, clothing, and assistance with utility bills to those in need, we currently could use your help providing these services.

We are looking for volunteers to help staff our all volunteer organization for 3 hours a day, just one day a week. Men, women, young, old, married couples, we have a position for you. Working directly with our clients, in our food pantry, sorting donations for our Thrift Store, or running our cash register. No experience is necessary. And the rewards knowing you made a big difference in someone's life will forever warm your soul. While working side by side with the best group of volunteers you will ever meet.

So if this is something that you would like to experience, stop by or give us a call. We would like to show you how, with your help, we can help others needing the assistance we provide.

As the school year winds down, it’s the perfect time to think about keeping those bright minds active over the break. Kids can lose up to two months of reading skills over the summer.

We’ve rounded up three fantastic, fun, and completely free ways to get your kids excited about reading this summer:

1. 🍕 Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Program
The legendary program we all loved as kids is still going strong! You can sign your child up online for the digital summer program. As they meet their monthly reading goals, they’ll earn free personal pan pizzas. High motivation, delicious reward!

2. 🏛️ Local Public Library Programs
Our local public libraries host incredible summer reading challenges. Kids can track their reading hours to win cool prizes, attend free weekly events, and discover an endless supply of new books. Head to your local branch to grab a reading log and sign up!

3. 🚌 The Bookmobile at Life Church
Mark your calendars for some community bookmobile fun! Drop by, grab some new reads, and keep the summer momentum going.

Tip for Success: Let your kids pick out whatever catches their eye—graphic novels, audiobooks, and magazines all count! The goal is just to keep them turning pages.
