Thunderstorms in one or more broken lines will move E-SE across central Indiana through midnight. Some of these storms may be severe with wind gusts to 60 mph. Otherwise, locally heavy rainfall (up to 1 inch in an hour) along with cloud to ground lightning can be expected.

We are tracking a developing line of storms in eastern IL. This activity will move E-SE and enter far NW portions of central IN around 4 PM, and based on current movement is expected to reach the Indy metro area after 6 PM. Stay tuned for future updates.

Scattered to numerous showers and storms are expected later today into tonight. Some of these storms could be severe with primarily a damaging wind threat, but severe hail cannot be ruled out as well. The greatest threat from storms will be flash flooding.
