Monday January 5th at 0900 hrs Harrison County EMS officially started its full time Critical Care Service not only for the citizens of Harrison County but for North Central West Virginia. We want to thank all the staff at HCES for their hard work and dedication to make this higher level of service available when it is needed.

Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality ALS care in dynamic prehospital environments
• Assess patients, administer treatments, and transport safely
• Collaborate with partners, first responders, and healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold all clinical standards
• Participate in ongoing training, drills, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications
• Current Paramedic or Critical Care Paramedic certification/licensure in WV
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional integrity
