FISH FRY MEETING - JANUARY 5 - 6 P.M.
Membership renewal is taking place. You should all be receiving renewal notices from National. One of the easiest ways to renew is online. Your renewal application will give you the correct web site information to do this. Legionnaires, Sons of Legion, and Auxiliary members can all renew online. You can also visit the legion and leave your dues with your renewal notice with the bartender.

FISH FRY -- IS COMING BACK STARTING ON FEBRUARY 3 - APRIL 9 2023.
5PM - 8PM OR UNTIL WE SELL OUT.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS. There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board.
THERE WILL BE A PLANNING MEETING ON JANUARY 5 AT 6PM.
PLEASE ATTEND THIS MEETING IF YOU WANT TO HELP WITH THE FISH FRY THIS SEASON.

The flag disposal ceremony/picnic has been scheduled for June 11, 2023.
AMERICANISM DINNER - FEBRUARY 25, 2023 - 5 PM - 9 PM
February is just a short time away. I am asking for nomination letters again this year. If you know someone who has gone above and beyond, and you feel they are deserving of the Americanism Award please send me the nomination letter. Remember this award is not just for members. If you know someone out in the community who has done something that makes them deserving of this honor just write a letter.
The cutoff date for these letters will be January 5, 2023. Please send all letters to:

Also, did you know there is a Good Deed Award for youth under the age of 18. If you notice someone doing a good deed please also send me their information and what they did.
GOOD DEED AWARD
- May be a Junior Auxiliary member or someone eligible for membership, but eligibility is not necessary for consideration.
- Donates time and/or money toward a worthy cause such as troop support, Locks of Love, Food Drive, etc...
I will need the youths name, what they did, the date they completed the act, male or female and birthdates. If it was in the news or on facebook I will need a copy of the article. If possible, the parents phone number.
YOUTH HERO AWARD
- May be a Junior Auxiliary member or someone eligible for membership, but eligibility is not a criterion for consideration.
- Demonstrates a physical act of valor ( Heimlich Maneuver, CPR, First Aid, Rescuing from fire or water peril).
- Serves as an inspirational role model for the ALA and the community.
