A simple compliment can make a bigger difference than you realize.
“You handled that so well.”
“You matter.”
“I’m proud of you.”
“You light up the room.”

Kind words can boost confidence, ease anxiety, and remind someone they are seen and valued. Sometimes, one thoughtful comment can turn around an entire day.
Today, offer a genuine compliment to a friend, coworker, family member, or even yourself.
Kindness is powerful.
Words matter.
You never know who needs to hear something positive.

A new year brings new opportunities to listen, learn, and lead together.

As we begin this next chapter, the Clarkston Coalition is recommitting to what matters most: supporting our youth, strengthening families, and building a healthier, safer community for everyone.

The year ahead will be shaped by collaboration, prevention, and action and we’re grateful to every parent, student, educator, partner, and resident who continues to show up and make a difference.

Here’s to a year of progress, connection, and positive change for Clarkston. We’re better when we work together.

The Clarkston Coalition for Youth is looking for passionate, community-minded volunteers to join our Board of Directors and Committees!

The Clarkston Coalition for Youth is a community-driven organization dedicated to creating a healthier, safer environment for youth. We work together with local schools, families, and organizations to prevent and reduce risky behaviors like substance misuse and to empower youth to make positive, informed choices.

Why Join Us? As a volunteer, you’ll help strengthen our mission through:
~Supporting and planning community programs and events
~Connecting with local partners, schools, and organizations
~Promoting mental wellness and healthy lifestyles
~Helping shape programs that directly benefit Clarkston youth

Who We’re Looking For: We welcome business professionals, parents, students, and community members anyone who wants to make a difference in Clarkston!

We invite you to join us on Tuesday , September 30 at either 11:00 AM or 6:00 PM for an informal conversation about the Clarkston Coalition for Youth.


This is a chance to:
- Learn more about who we are and what we do.
-Hear about the partners, programs, and projects we’re involved in.
-Share your thoughts through our new Community Survey to help guide where we focus in the year ahead.

Today marks our 7th year in sponsoring and attending this event. This event is one of our favorite activities to reach parents and kids.Stacy and I enjoyed talked with parent, community members, student, and extended family members all night. This event only gets better every year! Till next season.
