For more than 170 years, the historic
Historic Sashabaw Presbyterian Church
has quietly stood along Maybee Road.

Built in 1855, this small white church has witnessed generations of life in our community — worship services, weddings, funerals, town meetings, and even local elections in the early days of the township.

Long before large civic buildings existed, places like this church were where neighbors gathered to shape the life of the community.

Today, efforts are underway to preserve and restore this historic landmark so it can once again serve as a place of gathering, learning, and community life for future generations.

Every board, window, and beam holds a story.

And the story is still being written.

Follow along as we share more history, memories, and progress on the restoration.
