While my campaign to be reelected for this county commission seat wasn’t successful, it opens doors to a great many things. For example, leftover campaign funds can be donated to another campaign or to a registered charity.

After our expenses and donations, we had $346.82 left. My husband Koko and I decided that the funds would be donated to the Humane Society of Clarksville - Montgomery County, easily one of my favorite charities in Clarksville.

This small donation can help however they need it, and I’m glad that these dollars will stay in our community.

This is a banner year for them, and they’ve done about 50,000 low-cost spays and neuters. I remember when Amy Shaver talked about it as a pipe dream, years ago. Today, it’s a well organized machine of dedicated professionals that help pet owners from all over Montgomery County with these spay and neuter services.

Both of my dogs below, Yeti and Scarlett, were among those 50,000. Scarlett was spayed a few years ago, and Yeti was neutered just last week.

You can learn more about their services at clarksvillehumanesociety.org. Tell ‘em David said HEY.

I believe that God has called LGBTQ and progressive Christians to do the work of changing lives. Heal the hurting. End oppression. End racism. Pull the arrows from the backs of those that are hurt. Here’s a little of what that looks like…

It’s not often that I preach, but when I do, I have things to say…

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

I will go live at 3pm on Sunday 8/30 for my final day as a member of the commission.

As one of my final official acts as a Commissioner, I’m excited to help celebrate 50,000 low-cost spay and neuters at the Humane Society of Clarksville - Montgomery County and they are just beginning! Excellent care, talented people, and lots and lots of furry love! Thank you Amy Shaver and all that your team does for our furry babies! This mayoral proclamation is just another way for us to recognize their hard work in our community!

I love seeing this program take off!

🎓 We’re incredibly grateful to Judge Ken Goble and his wife, Andrea Goble, for investing in the future of Montgomery County’s youth through the Juvenile Court 20/10 Mentorship Program!

Through these scholarships, the program is helping young people see what’s possible and build a vision for their future through higher education.

Judge Goble reminds us, “It’s not the mistake that defines you; it’s how you respond to that mistake. We have seen what these young people can accomplish when someone believes in them. Now we have a chance to help them take the next step toward their future self. Together, we can be the change!”

Thank you for believing in our youth and helping turn opportunity into a brighter future. ✨
