I know we said we wouldn’t add any new posts due to Burt Elementary closing but we wanted to add this the sake of history and celebration! Several Burt Elementary faculty and staff members gathered last night to celebrate Burt being a Level 5 school for the 23-24 school year!! We are so proud of our students, staff and teachers. Even in our last year of being open, everyone pulled together, stayed focused on student achievement and finished strong!! 🎉🎉

As most of you know, Burt Elementary closed its doors as an elementary school at the end of May 2024. I wanted to let those that follow this page know we are keeping the page for the sake of history and memories. Burt Elementary was very important and dear to so many, especially those of us who had the privilege to work there and serve the Burt students, families and community. This will be the last post but the memories will live on! Love, Ms. Mathis 💛🖤💛🖤🐯🐯 .
