More throwback photos!

These photos tell a story—not just of a building, but of progress, growth, and a commitment to better serve Johnson County.

For years, our court has worked in spaces that were never truly designed for the work being done. Clerks separated, limited space, and a system making do with what it had.

Now, for the first time in our history, we’re moving into a facility where the courtroom, clerks, and judge’s chambers are all connected—designed to work together, just like the people in it.

This is more than an upgrade. It’s an investment in efficiency, accessibility, and the people we serve every day.

Proud of how far we’ve come in just a few short years—and even more excited about where we’re headed. ⚖️

It truly takes a village to keep our court system running effectively—and this group is a big part of that village.

Grateful to spend time at Spring College with such a dedicated group of district court judges and clerks who work every day to serve their communities with professionalism, integrity, and care. The work isn’t always easy, but it matters—and it shows in the commitment of the people in this room.

Thank you to each of you for what you do to keep the wheels of justice turning. ⚖️

Throw back video. No more makeshift lobby and tarps for walls. The metal detector will be inside and the extension cords won’t be run through the rain! We are really looking forward to our new space and are very excited that litigants will no longer have to wait outside for their case to be called.

Throwback to one of our earlier Clarksville court setups! We’re gonna post some throwback pictures between now and when we move in to help everybody remember why this new courtroom & office space is a reason to celebrate. 🙌🏻

Let’s just say… we learned very quickly how to be efficient with space. 😄

Between multiple locations and a few creative adjustments along the way, it’s been quite a journey getting to this moment.

We’re almost home in our new courtroom—drop a 👏 if you’ve ever been part of the “make it work” era with us!
