The My TN State Park Fundraiser is back, and Dunbar Cave State Park needs your help!

We already know how much you love our park from the stories you share. Now it’s time to turn that love into action by voting for us in this friendly competition with parks across Tennessee. So, let’s see which state park can drum up the most support this month.

Step 1: Donate $1 or more to vote for us as your favorite Tennessee state park at mytnstatepark.com. Or, if you want to spread the love, you can vote for all parks! Your donation goes directly to the park you chose and protecting their natural beauty for generations to come.

Step 2: Track our progress throughout the month, share with your friends & family, and keep voting until April 30th to skyrocket us to the top.

Step 3: Drop your favorite memories at our park in the comments. We’d love to hear how we’ve played a role in your journey to experience Tennessee’s natural beauty.

The historic 1933 ticket booth will be undergoing preservation work throughout the month of April. During this time, the structure will be temporarily closed and unavailable for use. We appreciate your understanding as we work to preserve this important feature for future visitors.

Dunbar Cave State Park wants your input!

The park is applying for a Recreational Trails Program (RTP) grant to create a durable, flood-resilient, and accessible route inside the cave. This improvement will help protect the trail from repeated flood damage and better serve our community with safe, inclusive trail access.

Looking for a summer job that’s more than just a paycheck? As a Seasonal Interpretive Ranger (SIR), you can spend your summer at a state park exploring the outdoors, meeting new people, and building valuable career experience.

SIRs lead educational programs for all ages, interact with visitors daily, and support rangers in protecting and managing park resources. No two days are the same, and every interaction is a chance to make a meaningful, lasting impact.

Many of our rangers started as SIRs, making this an excellent opportunity for those considering careers in parks or a related field.

Learn more and apply at tnstateparks.info/SIRApply26. The application deadline is February 17, 2026. Good luck!

Update 1/30/26: Due to winter weather and icy conditions, the visitor center at Dunbar Cave State Park is currently closed. The rest of the park is open, but trails remain very slick.
