🚐 CTS MyRide Fareboxes Are Now LIVE! 💳✨

Beginning now, CTS MyRide paratransit passengers should place their cash fare directly into the farebox when boarding the vehicle.

💵 Fare: $2.50 per one-way trip

When you board:
➡️ Have your cash fare ready
➡️ Insert your cash directly into the farebox
➡️ Then take your seat and enjoy your ride!

Please remember that drivers cannot provide change, so riders should have the correct fare ready.

This is another step toward making CTS MyRide easier and more convenient for our passengers. 💙🚌

As we celebrate Independence Day, please note the following service updates:

🚌 Thursday & Friday: The Transit Center will be closed due to the 250th Celebration. During these two days, all buses will stage and transfer at Union Street. Bus service will continue to operate on its normal schedule. Administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd.

🎆 Saturday, July 4: Clarksville Transit System will be closed in observance of Independence Day.

✅ Monday, July 6: We will resume regular service, and the Transit Center will reopen.

ROAD CLOSURES, PARKING, AND SAFETY INFORMATION ANNOUNCED FOR AMERICA'S 250TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The event will offer music, fireworks, drone show, and more activities in Downtown Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County present America's 250th Independence Day Celebration on July 3 and 4, 2026, in downtown Clarksville.

The free, two-day rain-or-shine celebration will include live music, entertainment, and community fun.

The fireworks show will be held at 9 p.m. on July 3 at the McGregor Park boat ramp parking lot, followed by a drone show on July 4 at 9 p.m., visible from Downtown Commons.

ROAD/PARKING CLOSURES
July 1 - 2, 2026 - Beginning at 9 p.m., Second Street from Main Street to Franklin Street, Legion Street to Third Street, will be closed for carnival ride set-up.

July 2 - 4, 2026 - Beginning at noon, the McGregor Park boat ramp parking lot will be closed after the conclusion of the 5K event.

July 3, 2026 - Riverside Drive will be shut down for the fireworks show between College Street to McClure Street from 8:30 - 10:30 p.m.

July 3 - 4, 2026 - Beginning at noon on July 3, roads will close in downtown Clarksville between Main Street and Commerce Street, and North Spring Street and North Third Street, with the event beginning at 5 p.m. They will remain closed until July 4, when event clean-up is completed.

CTS DISPLACEMENT
On July 2, 2026, at 6 a.m., Clarksville Transit System (CTS) operations will be relocated to Union Street and Cooper Place. Buses will not run on July 4 - 5, 2026.

PARKING
Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) parking will be located on the last level of 2 and the first level of 3 (Pedestrian Bridge) in the First Street Garage, and Level 3a and 4 in the Cumberland Garage at both city parking garages

Franklin Street parking garage will be closed July 2 -4, 2026.

Additional parking will be available in Austin Peay State University lots 10, 11, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, and 33.

Shuttle services will not be available for the event.

PETS
Pets, except for service animals, are not allowed at the event. All service animals must be on a leash, and pet waste must be removed.

SAFETY
Clarksville Police Department (CPD) and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) officers will have an increased presence to provide safety and traffic control throughout the event.

CHILD SAFETY CHECK-IN AND LOST CHILD PROCEDURE
Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the child safety check-in located at the Parks & Recreation tent locations on First Street and Strawberry Alley, City Hall parking lot, and Downtown Commons to receive wristbands.

These wristbands will be free of charge and include parent/guardian contact information to help staff and police quickly locate parents or guardians.

In the event of a lost child, please make contact with the nearest officer or report directly to the Parks & Recreation office located at 102 Public Square.

SAFETY RULES
The following are prohibited:
Outside alcoholic beverages
Drugs or drug paraphernalia
Equestrian traffic
Profanity
Skateboards, motorized vehicles, and scooters (except mobility devices)
Sleeping on park grounds or property
Smoking, va**ng, and use of to***co within 25 feet of government facility doors and event areas
Weapons, fi****ms, and hunting (except as permitted by TCA 39-17-13)

Through free and accessible opportunities for residents and visitors of all ages, the celebration encourages reflection, civic engagement, and community spirit, while highlighting the people, places, and stories that have shaped Clarksville’s and our Nation’s history.
