CFD welcomes AE 22 to Clarksville. They will temporarily be housed in CFD Station 3 off of Massengale Rd. until their permanent base is built. This is a great partnership that will get critical care to patients in the Clarksville area even faster than before.

This isn’t goodbye — it’s we’ll see you later. ❤️🚁

Effective April 1, Air Evac Lifeteam 22 will be transitioning from our Paris base as we begin an exciting new chapter in Clarksville.

To the Paris, Arkansas community: thank you for the trust, support, and kindness you’ve shown our crew over the years. It has been an honor to serve this community and be there when you needed us most. The relationships we’ve built here mean the world to us, and Paris will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The good news? We’re not going far. We will continue servicing the Paris area while also broadening our service area and improving response capabilities for surrounding communities.

During this transition, our crew will be temporarily housed at the new fire station in Clarksville while our new base is being built, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

This move allows us to continue providing the fast, lifesaving care our communities depend on—just from a new home base.

Paris, thank you for being part of our story. Clarksville, we can’t wait to serve you. 💙

✨Just to answer a few FAQ’s✨

•We will still be servicing the same areas - just expanding. There will be little to no change to our response/service times in Logan and surrounding counties.
•There is no negative impact to existing or future memberships as these are not base specific. Your membership is inclusive not only to all Air Evac Lifeteams, but the entirety of the Air Medical Holdings Group

Clarksville Fire & Rescue had its annual aerial and ground ladder certification. Ladder 1 and Ladder 2, along with all our ground ladders, passed with flying colors. We appreciate the thoroughness of Structural Technology, Inc., and their dedication to helping fire departments stay on top of regular maintenance and certifications.

Johnson County is under a Red Flag Warning from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 19th, 2026. This is NOT a burn ban. However, we at Clarksville Fire & Rescue highly recommend that everyone refrain from burning during this time. Even a small fire can get out of hand quickly in these conditions. Low humidity and gusty winds make fighting grass and brush fires difficult and dangerous. Please exercise extreme caution. Call in any controlled burns to the Johnson County dispatch center's non-emergency line at 479-774-6911. For all emergencies, call 911.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Retired Fire Chief Floyd Edward Pledger.

Floyd dedicated 39 years of faithful service to the Clarksville Fire Department, including 13 years as Fire Chief. His leadership, steady presence, and unwavering commitment to this community left a lasting mark on generations of firefighters and citizens alike. The fire service was not just something Floyd did — it was who he was.

He mentored countless members, answered every call with courage, and served the City of Clarksville with integrity and pride. His legacy lives on in the department he helped shape and the lives he impacted both on and off the fireground.

We extend our deepest condolences to his wife of 59 years, Linda, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who loved him.

Please keep the Pledger family and our department in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Chief. We will take it from here.
