The Clarksville Police Department is once again asking for the public’s assistance in locating runaway juvenile 17-year-old Deyonte Tatum, who has been missing since August 17, 2026.
Deyonte was last seen leaving for Northeast High School on August 17 and did not return home. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black jeans, and white Air Force shoes. He does wear glasses.
Detectives believe Deyonte may be in the Oak Grove, Kentucky, or Hopkinsville, Kentucky, area with his mother, Krystie Chancey, who is his non-custodial parent.
Anyone with information about Deyonte’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately so an officer can check on his welfare. Information may also be provided to Detective Baker at (931) 648-0656, ext. 5163.

WEDNESDAY WIN: Teamwork, Persistence, and Justice!

Some cases take years of hard work, and this is one of them.
Detective Bruce Kilby served as the lead homicide investigator and remained committed to this case throughout the years it took to work through the justice system. His persistence and determination, along with the efforts of everyone involved, helped bring this case to a conclusion.

On January 20, 2021, Clarksville Police officers responded to a home on Westwood Drive in the Sango area, where Rachel Konen and her father, David Rodgers, were found deceased.

On October 8, 2026, Matthew Konen was convicted of criminally negligent homicide in Rachel’s death and first-degree murder in David’s death.

A case like this doesn’t come together overnight, and it’s never the work of just one person. It begins with the officers who first respond, continues with the Crime Scene Unit carefully documenting the scene and collecting evidence, and carries on through the hours of investigative work that follow. Detective Kilby’s tenacity, attention to detail, and commitment kept this case moving forward, even when the road was long.

We also recognize District Attorney Robert Nash and Assistant District Attorney West for their work in prosecuting the case.

Today’s Wednesday Win is about the people who put in the work, stayed committed, and understood the importance of seeing this through, even when it took years.

This is a win for the community. A win for justice. A win for Clarksville.

UPDATE: The roadway is back open.

The Clarksville Police Department is working a two-vehicle crash with minor injuries that occurred at approximately 6:35 a.m. on Hazelwood Rd. at Trenton Rd.
The crash is causing heavy congestion due to school traffic. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be opened back up.
No other information is available for release at this time.

UPDATE: The roadway is back open.

All Lanes Blocked🚨
Clarksville Police Department has responded to a wreck with injuries reported at Ashland City Rd/US 41-A ByPass/Riverside Dr/Cumberland Dr. Currently, all lanes are blocked in all directions as MCEMS and Clarksville Fire Rescue work with officers at the scene. The crash involved 2 vehicles and involved one occupant being ejected and is expected to be flown by air ambulance to a Nashville area hospital.
Citizens are encouraged to seek alternative routes around this area. No further details regarding the extent of injuries or duration of the closure are available at this time.

Officers have determined that no one was shot during the incident that occurred near the access road, parking lot of the business. One individual sustained minor injuries while fleeing after a fi***rm was displayed during an attempted robbery of an individual.

Officers continue to investigate the incident and interview witnesses at the scene. No additional information is available at this time.

Bob’s Discount Furniture🚨

The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 7:08 p.m. on October 17 at Bob’s Discount Furniture at 2821 Wilma Rudolph Blvd.

Preliminary information indicates that at least one individual may have sustained grazing, non-life-threatening gunshot wounds; however, the number of victims and the extent of injuries have not yet been confirmed.

Numerous CPD officers remain on scene as the investigation continues. The area surrounding the store remains closed and secured while investigators process the scene, collect evidence, and interview witnesses.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No additional information is available for release at this time.

SECOND MILE THURSDAY
Going the Second Mile isn't always about responding to a call or helping someone in a moment of crisis. Sometimes, it's about the time and effort someone puts into making a difference in their community, long after their shift has ended.
For Captain Chad Koyama, giving back to the community is something he makes a priority.
Each year, he organizes and participates in a 9.11-mile run in remembrance of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. It's an opportunity to bring people together, honor their memory, and recognize the sacrifices made that day.
His involvement doesn't stop there. He also volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters, helping make a positive difference in the lives of young people. And if there's a community event happening around Clarksville, there's a good chance you'll find him there, taking the time to connect with residents and build relationships.
Those interactions matter. They help build trust, strengthen relationships, and bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community we serve.
Captain Koyama leads by example, showing that serving the community goes well beyond the responsibilities of the job.
Thank you, Captain Koyama, for your continued dedication, your willingness to give your time, and the positive example you set for others.
