From the US National Weather Service Nashville Tennessee …. **** Heat Advisory **** for Montgomery County and surrounding areas, effective from 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 2, until 8 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2026.

*WHAT: Heat index values up to 109 degrees expected.

*WHERE: A portion of middle Tennessee, including Clarksville.

*IMPACTS: Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and protect other people and pets.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety & Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments.
Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location.
Heat stroke is an emergency. Call 911.

Delaware Drive water outage and lane closure for water main leak repair
Northbound lane closed: traffic directed to southbound lane

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Gas & Water has turned off water service on a section of Delaware Drive from Yorktown Road to Bel Air Boulevard for water main leak repair. Low water pressure possible for vicinity

The northbound lane on Delaware Drive will be closed between Yorktown Road and Bel Air Boulevard. Northbound traffic will be directed to the southbound lane in alternating traffic patterns. Motorists should slow down, be alert to utility workers and equipment, and follow signage or choose an alternate travel route

The water main leak repair is anticipated to be finished and water service restored by approximately 3:30 p.m.
