Due to dry conditions, high temperatures/ heat index, a burn ban has been issued and is now in effect until further notice.

No outdoor burning is permitted, including:
• Brush piles
• Yard debris
• Leaves
• Campfires
• Any open burning

Your cooperation is essential in protecting our community, first responders, homes, and businesses.

UPDATE: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued, with the tornado threat significantly diminished. The school will remain closed tonight.

The Clarkton Volunteer Fire Department is vigilantly monitoring the severe weather situation and will open the Clarkton High School Gymnasium if necessary. Further updates regarding the opening time will be updated here.Residents are urged to remain vigilant, ensure situational awareness, and have a contingency plan in place.
