Looking for something fun to do on a Wednesday night? You’re invited to attend the Concert in the Park Series!

Bring a lawn chair, kick back with friends and neighbors, enjoy some great live music, and help support local organizations while you’re there. Grounds open at 6:00 PM, the snack bar opens at 6:30 PM, and the music starts at 7:00 PM.

The Claverack Republican Club will hold its annual free Easter Egg Hunt for all Claverack youths ages 1 to 9 Saturday, April 4, 2026 at the Claverack Town Park, 91 Church Street, Mellenville.

The grounds open at 10 a.m. with the hunts getting underway at 11 a.m. sharp (rain, snow or sun).

Prize baskets are awarded in three age categories: 1-3 years old, 4 to 6 years old, and 7 to 9 years old, along with additional prizes hidden in eggs all around the fields.

The day will also feature a visit from the Easter Bunny and free refreshments for adults and children.

Participating children are reminded to bring their own baskets or bags to collect eggs and candy on the field.

It seems like just yesterday. 13 years ago, the beloved Second Reformed Church in Philmont burned. Such a tragedy and loss to the community.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jim Sherman. Jim was not only a dedicated public servant—serving our community as both Town Justice and Town Supervisor—but also a true friend and neighbor who cared deeply about Claverack. His steady leadership, fairness, and lifelong commitment to public service left a lasting mark on our town. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Marie, his family, and all who were fortunate enough to know and work with Jim. He will be greatly missed.
