We are expecting an influx of visitors to town today for the annual Clawsonfest! Help us facilitate a safe event by complying with the No Parking signs throughout the area. We’ve attached a map of the no parking areas to help guests plan their visit to town. The no parking signs apply for the entire day until the road re-opens at the conclusion of the event.

Free Public Parking can be found in all city owned lots including overflow parking at the Blair Memorial Library city owned parking lot. Additional overflow parking is available in the Clawson High School parking lot.

Roads are expected to be completely re-opened by approximately 10p.m.

CPD will again be running in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Michigan!! Our team is raising funds to donate to the charity.

We be selling Special Olympics of Michigan Raffle tickets for drawings to be held on September 18th and December 10th. Prizes range from gift cards to a 1st prize-Trophy Whitetail Hunt!!

Whisky Taco Foxtrot is generously donating 10% of all sales between 5pm and 9pm next Friday 8/14 to our fundraiser!

The Clawson Police Records Division will have shortened hours this week to accommodate employee leave time. Please note that the Records window hours for today and tomorrow are adjusted as follows:

Wednesday August 5th: 7:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Thursday August 6th: 9:00 a.m. -7:00 p.m.

There is an opening on the Traffic and Safety Board!! This is a voluntary, appointed position. You must be a resident to apply. We meet at 7:30pm on the 1st Thursday of each month. Board and commission members support city operations by supporting department initiatives, advising city officials on important matters, and serving as ambassadors in their respective neighborhoods.

Meet Officer Sydney Radtke!! She was selected as CPD's Employee of the Quarter 🚓🎊

Officer Radtke was hired as a Patrol Officer by Clawson PD in 2025. Since being hired, Officer Radtke has taken an interest in our charity events and has joined the fundraising team for Special Olympics. She looks forward to the upcoming Law Enforcement Torch Run in September. Officer Radtke was recently assigned the extra responsibility of Station Support Officer and will be completing our monthly equipment and vehicle inspections. She always comes to work with a positive attitude and eager to support the community in any way that she can. Her co-workers have recognized her as a team player, and she has been a great addition to CPD in her first year here!

When asked what she likes most about being a Police Officer for the city of Clawson, Officer Radtke said that it is seeing how tight knit the community is and that residents make her feel like we are truly making a difference!

Officer Radtke is an asset to our team and her commitment to the continuous growth of our department deserves recognition.
