We are beyond thrilled to celebrate this incredible milestone with you both. Chelsea, today you didn't just marry an amazing firefighter—you officially became a vital part of our fire department family. We are so proud to welcome you to the ranks of our fire spouses.

What an incredible turnout for our 4th Annual Open House & Summer Kickoff that was held this past Saturday, June 13th!

Fun was truly had by all as we officially kicked off the summer season with our amazing community. It was wonderful seeing so many smiling faces, visitors, community leaders, and fellow agencies coming together.

A huge thank you to all the agencies who joined us, including Evans County EMS, Claxton Police Department, GA State Patrol, Evans County Family Connections, and the Governor's Office of Highway Safety. We deeply appreciate you coming out to provide fantastic educational opportunities, engage with our visitors, and support our department.

We also want to give a special shoutout to our generous local sponsors! Thank you to O'Reilly Auto Parts for donating the ultimate car wash bucket and supplies, and to Munchy's Car Wash for donating a free car wash and detail package.

The bond in the fire service is a powerful brotherhood, but it is truly special when that dedication runs through generations. Over the years, Claxton Fire Department has proudly witnessed family members pass down their love, passion, and commitment for serving our community—a tradition that continues strong today.

Today, we want to recognize a remarkable father and son duo currently serving side-by-side on our department: Deputy Chief Kelly Crosby and Junior Firefighter Zach Crosby. Zach is still watching, learning, and assisting around the station. In order to officially become certified to be a firefighter, one must be 18-years old.

Thank you, Deputy Chief Crosby and Zach, for your shared dedication to protecting Claxton. The legacy of service lives on!

We are honored to officially welcome Junior Firefighter Mason to the Claxton Fire Department family!

Legacy runs deep in the fire service, and it is a special privilege for us to watch Mason step into the brotherhood. Handing down his Uncle Keith’s old number, 604, is a proud moment for our entire station. Mason is a third generation member on Claxton Fire.

Mason is already stepping up to help around the department, and we look forward to watching him grow, learn, and honor the badge in the years ahead.

Thank you to the Anderson family for always supporting our fire department. Brad has supported our department for several years. It was great seeing Bradley, Ashlea, and Ward. We are keeping an eye on Ward for the future, since he seems to already be a pro at squirting water with the fire hose.
