Over the course of this time period, our deputies worked 35 hours of overtime resulting in 68 traffic stops and 13 citations related to speed.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the Nebraska Speeding Prevention Enforcement campaign from July 27 through August 9.
Our office was awarded $3,012.50 in overtime grant funding from our partners at the Nebraska Department of Transportation - Highway Safety, allowing deputies to conduct additional patrols focused on enforcing speed limits throughout Clay County.
Speeding reduces reaction time and increases the severity of crashes. Please slow down, buckle up, and help keep our roadways safe for everyone.
