PUBLIC NOTICE

The Clay County Commission hereby notifies the public that the County-owned property commonly known as the Old IGA Lot in downtown Clay will be closed to the public on June 3, 4, and 5, 2026.

During this period, the property will be reserved for County purposes. No sales, vending, displays, events, gatherings, or any other type of public activity will be permitted on the property.

The public's cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated. Individuals or groups utilizing the property during the closure period may be asked to relocate or discontinue their activities.

Students across the Mountain State are invited to transform an official WVDOH snowplow blade with your own original artwork. 🖌️ Once finished, the custom plows will be showcased online for a statewide public vote.

The best part? Your masterpiece will be put into full winter service, clearing roads right in your own district!

Here is the fee schedule for vendors for the up coming markets.

Farmers/producers - free
This is defined as someone who has a food product for sale which would fall under the WVDA farmers market, cottage food or WVGrown guidelines.

Crafters/hand made goods - $10
Defined as some selling products that do not fall in the guidelines as noted above

Foodtrucks/food vendors-$50
This includes food tents, trucks & trailers.
A local health inspection/temporary food permit is required.

If you plan on participating in a market, please message us & we will publish on social media who & what is planning to attend the market.
