We recently celebrated the end of the school year and start of summer break with our Healthy Grandfamilies participants. We enjoyed a nice picnic, plenty of sunshine and play time, and some art projects.

Thank you to Art and Tresea Truman for facilitating our pottery painting activity.

Thank you to Dan from the Charleston Job Corps Program for information on programs for youth and the fun games.

As always, thank you to Kari Osbourne of the Clay FRN for partnering with us to make the Healthy Grandfamilies program possible in Clay.

We have some fun summer activities planned so if you aren’t already enrolled in our program, reach out to [email protected] to get registered. Open to anyone raising grandchildren in their home.

Today our Clay County 4-H Teen Leaders put their Hands to Larger Service and finished their community service project staining our new mobile council circle! The last thing that needs to be done is adding the "In Loving Memory" plaque for Linda "Nanny" Rhodes who this project is being dedicated to and the dedication tokens from our fundraising efforts. Thank you to all who supported this project and thank you to the West Virginia State 4-H All Stars for awarding them the "my hands to larger service" minigrant.

The Clay County Clovers 4-H Club will be having a car wash, hotdog and funnel cake sale on June 12th at the Extension Office. This is to sponsor members going to 4-H camp and other club activities in the year.
