🚧 Roadway impacts are vast, and growing by the minute. The impacts include flooded roadways or intersections, downed trees, downed wires, and snapped utility poles. Always assume fallen wires are energized! ⚡️

🚧 ⚠️ SR 322 is impassable from SR45 to Tomlin Station Rd. in the Mullica Hill section of Harrison Twp.

📣 If you are home, STAY THERE! If you are out, proceed ahead when safe and with an abundance of caution! Lightening strikes to residential homes have been reported.

⛈️ Severe storm cells are still impacting Gloucester County and the region. Our officials witnessed several minutes of large hail. And as reported yesterday, these storms are capable of producing a tornado. Stay alert!

Please be advised East Avenue will be closed tomorrow , August 25, 2026 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. between East Clayton Avenue and Moore Boulevard.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow additional travel time. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this temporary closure.

Yesterday, we were honored to have former Clayton Police Officer Sunshine Rossetti stop by the station to say hello and take a look at some of our Clayton Police history displays.
Sunshine made history as Clayton’s first female police officer, joining the department in 1977.
It was great to see her back at the station and hear her reminisce about her time with the Clayton Police Department.

Our history display was created by Sgt. Mark Konnick (Ret.), who has done a tremendous job preserving the history, traditions, and memories of our department.

We are in need of our resident's assistance!!

Early Monday morning between 2 am and 330 am there were numerous vehicles entered unlawfully and a vehicle was stolen. Please check your homes video surveillance for any suspicious vehicles or subjects entering your vehicles or attempting to. Even though if nothing was taken or it was a minimal value, we would like a copy of the video surveillance in order to better assist with our investigation. If you can email the video, please email it to [email protected], if the file is too large, please contact us on the non-emergency number, 856-881-2300 and an officer will come and obtain the video. Attention Residents,

Please make it a routine to lock your vehicles every night and remove your key fobs. These simple steps can help prevent vehicle thefts and thefts from vehicles.

Last night, one vehicle was stolen in the area of Walnut Street and Broad Street. Additionally, other vehicles were entered in the area of N. New Street, and valuables were stolen.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – ROUTE 322 / FRIES MILL ROAD 🚧

***Monday, July 27 through Friday afternoon, July 31:***

➡️ Route 322 eastbound will be CLOSED between Fries Mill Road and Whispering Woods Drive.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured north on Fries Mill Road, east on Glassboro-Cross Keys Road to Cross Keys Bypass, and south on Tuckahoe Road.
Route 322 westbound will remain open.

***Friday afternoon, July 31 through Sunday night, August 2:***

🚧 The intersection of Route 322 and Fries Mill Road will be CLOSED to through traffic.

Local traffic will be permitted up to the closure, but no traffic will be permitted through the intersection. Please follow posted detour routes and allow extra travel time.

⚠️ All work and detour schedules are weather permitting.

Last night, several residents in our town were victims of vehicle burglaries. In addition, two vehicles were stolen.

All of the affected vehicles were left unlocked, and the stolen vehicles had their key fobs left inside. These incidents occurred in Rustic Village, The neighborhood development, and , in the area of Still Run.

Please remember to lock your vehicles and never leave your keys or key fobs inside.

We were able to recover one of the vehicles that was stolen.
