Downtown Traffic One-way Pattern Proposal

The Village of Clayton is exploring potential changes to traffic patterns in the downtown area and wants to hear from you! This is an opportunity to gather community input. No final decisions have been made, and feedback received will be considered by the Village Board before moving forward.

Proposed Changes Include:

● Hugunin Street
> One-way eastbound (between James Street and Webb Street)
● Jane Street
> One-way westbound (between James Street and Webb Street)
> Two-way traffic east of Webb Street
● John Street
> One-way southbound between Riverside Dr. & Hugunin Street

The Village is evaluating these changes to:

● Improve traffic flow and safety
● Improve navigation through downtown & parking
● Better accommodate seasonal traffic and winter snow removal

It is fitting that we recognize her lasting contributions and celebrate the legacy she leaves for future generations.

The Village Board would like to remind you all that it is grass cutting season and it is very dangerous to blow clippings of grass in roads. If you have someone mowing for you please tell them that this is not allowed and very unsafe. Thank you all for your continued support for the safety of our community.
