Now that construction has started, we are beginning to actively market the first floor for lease. Given the history of the building as a restaurant, the location, and the expanded outdoor seating area, we think that leasing to a restaurant operator would be a great use of the space. Even so, we are open to other commercial use such as office or retail space and subdivision is possible. Here is a summary of the offering. We realize that construction will cause some inconvenience to our neighbors, residents, and visitors to Clayton, and appreciate your understanding. The contractor is working very hard to minimize the impact on the community, and is planning to work four days a week (Monday-Thursday) to limit noise and disruption on the weekends. The sidewalks are closed for safety reasons, and there may also be occasional activity that blocks Merrick Street next to the Opera House when equipment is delivered or dumpsters are emptied. We apologize for this disruption, and promise that we want to get things back to normal as soon as we can, with a better Thousand Islands Inn!
