Happy June!! We are so excited for this summer, we've got some fun things planned that we cannot wait to share with everyone. In the meantime, we have a book and bake sale planned this Saturday, June 6th from 10-1. The bake sale & sno-cone portion will be out front of the library, and our book sale will be inside the library in our non-fiction room. Interested in becoming a Girl Scout? Join recruiter Marnie Shaeffer starting Tuesday, June 9th from 5-6 and continuing bi-weekly. She will discuss all things Girl Scout related and sign people up. We can't wait to spend the summer with you all! 🌞🏖️

The library will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 26th from 10am-6pm. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

TODAY is the day, get out there and vote!

Everything at the public library costs money, from the books, media, internet access, online tools, and classes we offer to paying the staff who are the beating heart of the organization.

A ballot referendum allows voters a direct voice in the funding process and is a sustainable way for libraries to ensure they can provide high-quality service for years to come.

Hawn Memorial Library is hosting another book sale this year! During the weekend of the village wide garage sales, we will be offering a variety of homemade baked goods along with snow cones, books, DVD's, audio books, and puzzles! Meet us outside the library on Saturday, June 6th, from 10-1pm. All we are asking for are monetary donations of your choosing which will directly benefit the library. Come join us for a fun filled summer day and help support your library! 📚🧁

Just a reminder to take alternate routes tomorrow for Ms. Sue's Story Hour. We will be here, take your time, and remember to be thoughtful of our neighbors.

The Village of Clayton NY would like to notify residents and motorists of a temporary street closure on **James Street between Union Street and Mary Street** for funeral services honoring U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Agent Sean McDonough.

During these times, James Street will be closed to through traffic between Union Street and Mary Street. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and allow additional travel time in the area.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we honor Agent McDonough and support his family, friends, and fellow officers during this time.
